Second Quarter 2025 Financial Findings Revealed by LeddarTech

LeddarTech, a Canadian AI-powered software company specialising in advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) and autonomous driving (AD), has reported its financial results for the second quarter ended March 31, 2025. The company, which trades on NASDAQ under the ticker symbol LDTC, also disclosed ongoing liquidity challenges and the need to raise additional capital.

Financial Highlights

For Q2-2025, LeddarTech reported a net loss of ($16.0) million, or ($0.42) per share, a decrease from a net loss of ($17.2) million, or ($0.60) per share, in the same quarter the previous year. The company's financial results also include an EBITDA loss of (8,394,400) and an adjusted EBITDA loss of (11,979,035).

In terms of revenue, LeddarTech reported an increase, with Q2-2025 revenue totalling $238,914, up from $122,101 in the same quarter the previous year.

Liquidity Challenges

LeddarTech is currently facing liquidity challenges and is required to maintain a minimum cash balance of $1.8 million at all times after April 1, 2025. If the company is unable to raise additional capital in the next several days, it will be in default under this minimum cash covenant.

To address this, LeddarTech is obligated to complete an equity financing of $9.7 million in equity investments prior to May 23, 2025. This financing is intended to satisfy the requirement that the company raise at least $35.0 million in equity investments prior to that date.

As of March 31, 2025, LeddarTech had a cash balance of approximately $9.2 million. However, as of May 8, 2025, the cash balance had declined to approximately $4.1 million.

Business Developments

Despite the financial challenges, LeddarTech has secured OEM design wins with major automakers including BMW, Ford, and Hyundai to integrate its software platform into 2028 models. The company is also actively providing engineering services to integrate its software platform into the 2028 model year vehicles of one of the world's leading commercial vehicle OEMs.

LeddarTech has also launched a new product called LeddarSim, a next-generation simulation platform designed to close the gap between virtual testing and real-world deployment.
