Semiconductor manufacturer Kaynes selects Emerson's test platform for its semiconductor production.
Kaynes Semicon, a subsidiary of Kaynes Technology, has announced a strategic partnership with Emerson's Test & Measurement business. This collaboration aims to deploy Emerson's NI Semiconductor Test System (STS) as the preferred platform across Kaynes' expanding semiconductor test facilities.
The NI STS platform offers a range of advantages, including high-throughput, compact, cost-efficient, and adaptable testing capabilities. It is a PXI-based test solution with a compact form factor, reconfigurable architecture, and software integration through LabVIEW and TestStand.
Raghu Panicker, CEO of Kaynes Semicon, stated that this partnership will advance their semiconductor testing capabilities. The NI STS helps manufacturers like Kaynes reduce equipment redundancy, streamline workflows, and respond quickly to changing test requirements.
The collaboration will standardize test infrastructure for Kaynes' analog, mixed-signal, RF, power, and MEMS devices. Emerson's NI test platforms are well-positioned to support emerging OSATs and fabs in India, and can deliver up to 10x faster test speeds.
Emerson's Test & Measurement business in India supports the partnership, providing field engineers, application support, and training resources to ensure seamless implementation for Kaynes' test operations. The NI STS platform, offered by Emerson, provides modularity, speed, and reliability for test outcomes.
Kaynes Semicon aims to become a trusted Test-as-a-Service partner for the semiconductor industry. By adopting the NI Semiconductor Test System as the core platform for expanding their semiconductor test facilities, they hope to reduce capital costs and enable scalable, efficient production.
The NI test systems from Emerson are ideal for India's growing semiconductor ecosystem. These systems help manufacturers like Kaynes respond quickly to market demands and ensure test flexibility, which is crucial for reducing time-to-market.
The strategic decision is intended to accelerate production and meet evolving market demands. The partnership will undoubtedly advance Kaynes Semicon's position in the semiconductor industry and contribute to India's growing semiconductor ecosystem.
