September 2025 Supervisory Authority Proposals
The Bergisch Gladbach municipal care authority is inviting citizens to a series of informative events in September. These events aim to provide valuable insights into various stages of life, including power of attorney, advance healthcare directives, and legal representation in case of dementia.
One of the upcoming events is a presentation on Advance Healthcare Directives, scheduled for Friday, September 12, 2025, from 10:00 to 11:30 AM. Claudia Freudenberger, an employee of the Bergisch Gladbach municipal care authority, will discuss the contents, form, and uses of an advance healthcare directive at the Workers' Welfare Association Education Center, Am Birkenbusch 59, 51469 Bergisch Gladbach.
During the lecture, Claudia Freudenberger will cover the importance of preparing in advance and empowering relatives as a person of trust within a (preliminary) power of attorney, and the need for legal guardianship if this does not happen. She will also be available for questions afterwards.
The admission fee for the event is 5 €. Furthermore, Claudia Freudenberger can certify powers of attorney on site for a fee of 10 euros.

The name of the speaker for this lecture is not publicly available, but registration is required by phone by September 4, 2025.
