In a tragic incident on September 6, 2025, a traffic accident took place on the Gruppenbührener Landstraße (B 212) in Ganderkesee, involving two cars and a motorcycle.

According to local police reports, a 25-year-old resident of Ganderkesee was driving one of the cars and failed to notice that the vehicle in front had stopped. Despite attempting to swerve left, the 25-year-old collided with the car in front and also collided with an oncoming motorcycle.

The motorcyclist and his passenger, both residents of Brake, sustained severe injuries. The 62-year-old motorcyclist was airlifted to a nearby hospital, while the other parties were taken by ambulance. The occupants of the other car, all residents of Ganderkesee, sustained minor injuries.

The total damage to the vehicles is estimated at 10,000 euros. The Gruppenbührener Landstraße was closed for accident investigation and subsequent cleaning until 16:15.
