Shooting at Tbilisi restaurant allegedly involves someone connected to Ivanishvili's son.

In the early hours of Saturday morning, a shooting occurred at the Qvevri restaurant in Tbilisi, Georgia. The incident, which has since made headlines, involved a financial dispute between businessman Lasha Baslandze and restaurant owner Zurab Tibua.

According to reports, Baslandze approached the restaurant armed, leading to a conflict that escalated into a physical altercation and a gunshot being fired. Footage obtained by TV Pirveli shows a man, believed to be Baslandze, entering the restaurant with what appears to be a gun in his hand. However, the footage does not show any shots being fired.

The shooting was reportedly the result of a long-standing financial dispute between Baslandze and Tibua. The lease for the restaurant, which was originally leased by Zurab Tibua to Lasha Baslandze, was cancelled due to non-payment under the contract.

Following the incident, Zurab Tibua was diagnosed with a concussion, and a security guard was also injured. Baslandze, who is currently under investigation for illegal purchase, storage, and carrying of weapons, has not made any public statements or taken an official position regarding the investigation.

Baslandze claims he only had a toy gun during the incident, but this has not been verified. He was summoned for questioning with a delay, which some government critics attribute to his friendship with Bera Ivanishvili. Shalva Tibua, Zurab's son, was questioned by police as a witness.
