Significant motor vehicle collision occurred in Emsdetten on Sunday night, as reported by Polish authorities.
On Sunday, a traffic accident occurred on Borghorster Straße, near Ahlintel 39, involving an Opel Agila and a Golf Plus. The incident, reported by news aktuell, has left several individuals injured and caused significant property damage.
According to the Steinfurt Police, the driver of the Golf Plus, a 55-year-old from Aschaffenburg, Bavaria, remained uninjured. However, the driver and passenger of the Opel Agila, both 63-year-old Emsdetten residents, were severely injured. The Emsdetten resident attempted to turn right onto a field path, slowed down, and was subsequently hit by the Golf Plus.
The Emsdetten resident and her passenger were extricated from the car by rescue services and taken to nearby hospitals for treatment. The extent of their injuries is currently unknown.
Unfortunately, both vehicles were no longer roadworthy as a result of the collision, leading to an estimated property damage of 18,000 euros.
