Singer Perrie Edwards from Little Mix reveals she's expecting another child
In a heartfelt Instagram post, Perrie Edwards, the 32-year-old Little Mix singer, has announced that she is pregnant again. The announcement came on Saturday, accompanied by an emotional clip that documented her journey through two miscarriages and her current pregnancy.
Edwards, who rose to fame through the British version of "The X Factor" in 2011, confirmed her relationship with Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, a footballer who currently plays for Beşiktaş Istanbul, in early 2017. The couple got engaged in 2022, and they currently reside in the United Kingdom with their four-year-old son Axel.
The clip, which has since gone viral, shows Edwards' fiancé and their son Axel affectionately kissing her belly and hugging her. The singer wears a shirt with a poignant message, reading "If He Wanted To He Would" on the back and "... and He Did" on the front, which also reveals her bare baby bump.
Edwards discussed her past miscarriages in the "We Need To Talk" podcast by Paul C. Brunson, sharing that her second miscarriage occurred at 24 weeks during rehearsals for Little Mix's last tour in 2022. She described the day as "the worst day of my life" and "absolutely horrible." The singer was especially affected by this miscarriage because she had planned for the pregnancy.
In the podcast, Edwards also described experiencing a tragic loss. She shared that her first miscarriage occurred early in her first pregnancy, and she had her second miscarriage about a year after giving birth to Axel. Edwards revealed that she had an out-of-body experience during her second miscarriage.
Despite the challenges she has faced, Edwards remains hopeful and grateful for this new chapter in her life. Her pregnancy announcement has been met with an outpouring of support from her fans and followers, who are excited to join her on this journey.
