Chicago Smash-and-Grab Theft at Rolex Store: Six Suspects Charged
A smash-and-grab theft took place on the Mag Mile in Chicago on Friday afternoon, according to the Cook County State's Attorney's Office. The incident occurred around 2:37 p.m. at Michigan and Huron, in the middle of North Michigan Avenue.
The Rolex store was the target of the theft. Four suspects, armed with hammers, broke the front windows of the store and entered, stealing merchandise before fleeing in a vehicle.
Six men have been charged in connection with the theft: Victory Banks (33), Will Brown (21), Aldonte Goodman (22), Anthony Hampton (24), Dalvin Johnson (31), and Armon Williams (18). All six suspects were ordered to be held in jail following a court hearing on Sunday.
The stolen items, estimated to be worth approximately $170,000, were recovered following the arrest of the suspects. As of now, there is no available information about the previous crimes involving these men before their arrest in Chicago.
