Skatepark located at Kuhlhoffstraße within Bürgerpark resumes operations again.
The skate park in Bürgerpark Kuhlhoffstraße in Altenessen-Nord is now open for use, following a comprehensive transformation aimed at making it a central hub for leisure, education, and social interaction.
The skate park caters to various activities such as skateboarding, BMX, scootering, and inline skating, and offers features for both beginners and experienced athletes. It has been designed with children and youth in mind, with a focus on reducing social inequalities and promoting the development of young people in Essen's north.
Jugendhilfe Essen gGmbH will take over the management of Bürgerpark Kuhlhoffstraße after the renovations, with plans to transform the park into a centre for leisure, education, and social interaction. As part of this transformation, out-of-school educational programs for families, children, and youth will be introduced.
In addition to the skate park, the park's green spaces and buildings will undergo renovations and improvements. Other park areas remain closed until the renovation works are completed.
The skate park's renovation is one of the first steps in the park's transformation process. The new fence around the skate park is a testament to the park's commitment to safety and security.
With the renovated skate park now open, Bürgerpark Kuhlhoffstraße will provide opportunities for nature exploration, play, exercise, and social engagement for individuals with and without disabilities. The park is set to become a vibrant and inclusive space for the community in Altenessen-Nord.
