Slovenia triumphs over Switzerland, Croatia falters against Montenegro, and Greece overshadows Denmark in their respective matches.
Switzerland continued their impressive form in the UEFA Nations League qualifiers, winning both their recent matches without conceding a goal in the second half. In their latest encounter, they defeated Kosovo 4-0, with Nico Elvedi and Breel Embolo scoring headers from corners and Dan Ndoye adding a goal from a team move.
In a surprising turn of events, Switzerland also managed to score four goals against Slovenia, all in the first half, demonstrating their dominance in the opening stages of games.
Meanwhile, Group C has seen some unexpected results. Belarus currently find themselves at the bottom of the table, having lost to Hungary (2-0) in their latest match. Zakhar Volkov scored an own goal for Belarus in this game, while Elvis Rexhbecaj and captain Vedat Muriqi scored for Kosovo against Sweden, who are now in a difficult position with only one point in two games following a 2-0 loss to Kosovo.
Scotland, on the other hand, have had a positive start, winning their latest match against Hungary (2-0), with Che Adams scoring a goal assisted by Scott McTominay.
Denmark currently lead Group C with a better goal difference than Scotland, having won their latest match against Greece (3-0). Mikkel Damsgaard, Andreas Christensen, and Rasmus Hojlund scored curled shots and a goal into an empty net for Denmark in this game.
Meanwhile, in Group L, Croatia regained the lead with a 4-0 victory over Montenegro. Luka Modric played for Croatia in this match, where Andrija Bulatovic was sent off for Montenegro in the 42nd minute.
The next match in Group C will see Switzerland face Sweden on October 10 in Solna, while the next match in Group L will be between the Czech Republic and Croatia on October 9.
