The question at hand is whether there exists another Field Of Gold or Kingman among the horses in Solario, and Tom Segal asserts that only one horse can be present if there is.

Solario's potential for another Field Of Gold or Kingman contender: Tom Segal suggests a single horse could be the answer

In the upcoming Solario Stakes at Newmarket, Godolphin and trainer Charlie Appleby are relying on Pacific Avenue to deliver a strong performance. The son of Dubawi, who won at 9-1 on his debut at Newmarket, looks to hold bright prospects in the race.

Pacific Avenue's debut victory was followed by impressive performances from the third, fourth, and fifth-placed horses in the race. Meanwhile, his stablemate Wild Desert has finished third at Group 2 level since Pacific Avenue's debut, indicating a strong stable form.

Clive Cox, trainer of A Bit Of Spirit, is another contender in the Solario Stakes. A Bit Of Spirit ran a blinder in defeat at Ascot and followed that with a solid effort stepping up to a mile at Salisbury. The horse might have bumped into something special when second to Morris Dancer at Salisbury last time, suggesting a strong challenge for the Solario Stakes.

Marco Botti, trainer of Looka, believes a stiff seven furlongs at Newmarket would suit the horse, but is uncertain about his performance on soft ground. Looka won well at Kempton last time from a Godolphin horse with strong form lines, adding to the intrigue surrounding the Solario Stakes.

The Solario Stakes has lost its leading horse, Publish, due to ground conditions. However, other contenders such as He's Waliim, a son of 2018 Solario winner Too Darn Hot, are eager to fill the void. He's Waliim won decisively on his debut at Beverley under Clifford Lee and could repeat the tactics from stall two in the Solario Stakes.

Philip Robinson, racing manager to owner Jaber Abdullah, stated that He's Waliim's victory at Beverley was no surprise, having always worked well at home. Humidity, before running at Goodwood, had won the Chesham Stakes at Royal Ascot, but might not have been suited by the undulations of Goodwood or the outside draw in the Vintage Stakes. Despite this, Richard Brown, adviser to Wathnan Racing, owners of Humidity, reports that the horse is in top order and a stiff seven furlongs on a more conventional track will play to his strengths.

The aim for Looka is to take him to Dubai this winter, while Clifford Lee rode two Listed winners for James Tate in the past month, adding to his reputation as a talented jockey. The Solario Stakes promises to be an exciting race, with several contenders vying for victory.
