Solingen's victims of the terrorist attack are lamented by the Bergische IHK and Kreishanderschaft

In the aftermath of the tragic terrorist attack at a festival celebrating Solingen's city anniversary, the Bergische IHK (Chamber of Industry and Commerce) and the Chamber of Crafts Solingen-Wuppertal have expressed their deepest sympathies to the victims and their families. The attack, which resulted in the loss of life and injuries, has left a deep shock among all present.

Henner Pasch, the President of the Bergische IHK, was present at the festival as a sponsor with his company and many of his employees and their families. Arnd Krüger, a Master Craftsman, was also present. In response to the attack, Henner Pasch reiterated the importance of maintaining a liberal democratic order and emphasized the need for a thorough investigation and punishment of the terrorist act.

Politics, according to Henner Pasch, should act decisively in response to the terrorist attack and similar acts of violence. Existing laws should be consistently applied and bans enforced. The emphasis is on providing security for the population, businesses, and their employees.

The Bergische IHK, through Henner Pasch, has strongly advocated for addressing the root causes of societal and economic problems. Henner Pasch concluded that societal and economic problems should be addressed at their root causes to prevent further threats to the liberal democratic order.

The city of Solingen can count on the full support of the IHK and the Chamber of Crafts in this difficult time. Coexistence, whether at festivals or in daily life, should not be dictated by fear and worry. The Bergische IHK extends its deepest sympathies to all victims and their families.

Michael Wenge, the Managing Director of the Bergische IHK, was not present at the festival. The Bergische IHK and the Chamber of Crafts Solingen-Wuppertal are committed to working together to ensure the safety and well-being of their members and the community.

In the days ahead, it is crucial for everyone to stand united in solidarity against terrorism and to support the victims and their families during this challenging time. The attack serves as a reminder of the importance of maintaining a liberal democratic order and the need for decisive action from politics to ensure security for the population, businesses, and their employees.
