Spectacular triumph of Liverpool at Anfield, highlighted by a standout individual performance, overshadows the rough, unrefined football displayed, in their musical-style duel with Arsenal.

In a thrilling encounter at Anfield, Liverpool emerged victorious against Arsenal, securing a crucial 1-0 win. The goal came from an unexpected source, as Dominik Szoboszlai scored a stunning 35-yard free-kick.

Szoboszlai, who has impressed in his two appearances at right-back, was named man of the match. His performance was a significant boost for Liverpool, particularly ahead of the international break.

Mikel Arteta's team, however, struggled to adapt to the intensity of the Premier League. New signings Hugo Ekitike and Florian Wirtz found the going tough, with Ekitike yet to make his debut due to injury, and Wirtz being withdrawn from the game due to what Arne Slot described as a "welcome to the Premier League" experience.

Liverpool, despite not playing at their best, maintained their impressive form. They currently sit six points clear of Manchester City and three points ahead of Arsenal. This victory marks a significant step in their pursuit of the title.

Arsenal, who had an unbeaten record against the 'Big Six' before this match, failed to replicate their form. Their fans sang songs in support, including "Allez Allez Allez" and a song for Eberechi Eze, but these were met with original chants from the Anfield crowd.

Arne Slot, Arsenal's coach, acknowledged that if the game against Liverpool were played multiple times, the result might be different. He predicted eight draws, one win for Liverpool, and one win for Arsenal.

Meanwhile, Liverpool is strengthening their squad. They have recently signed Alexander Isak from Newcastle United for a British record fee of £125 million. Isak, a Swedish striker, scored 27 goals in 45 appearances for Newcastle last season and is considered a key part of Liverpool's offensive overhaul under coach Arne Slot.

The second half saw an increase in energy from Liverpool, while Arsenal seemed to struggle to maintain their momentum. Mikel Arteta received criticism for his team's performance in the second half, with Jan Aage Fjortoft stating that one team came to win the game, while the other came not to lose.

Peter Schmeichel added to the criticism, calling Arsenal's play an "ugly brand of football." However, Arne Slot praised Szoboszlai, stating that he always plays like a Liverpool player, regardless of the position.

In the end, it was Szoboszlai's goal that sealed the victory for Liverpool. This win will undoubtedly boost their confidence as they prepare for the upcoming international break.
