Speeding Hobby Gardener under Investigation by Federal Police in NRW
In an incident that took place early Thursday morning, a 27-year-old Moroccan driver was arrested by the Federal Police in Aachen after being stopped in Herzogenrath. The driver, who was operating a high-end vehicle, was found to be under the influence of alcohol and in possession of cannabis.
According to reports, a voluntary breathalyzer test revealed a reading of 1.8 per mille, placing the driver in the category of absolute driving impairment. Furthermore, several garbage bags containing remnants of multiple cannabis plants were found in the suspect's vehicle.
The driver admitted to having consumed alcohol at a birthday party, but was unable to produce a driver's license and no record of one was found in accessible systems. The cannabis plants had been harvested and are part of ongoing investigations.
The incident occurred in the cities of Aachen and Herzogenrath.
