Spending Three Days in Osnabrück's Capital City
Osnabrück, Germany, played host to the 38th Tag der Niedersachsen from August 31 to an unspecified date in 2025. This annual event, organised by Marketing Osnabrück GmbH on behalf of the city, attracted around 500,000 visitors from various regions, including North Rhine-Westphalia and the Netherlands.
Mayor Katharina Pötter expressed her gratitude for the event, stating that it showcased Osnabrück as a city of peace, science, and a desirable place in the green. The old town and castle garden served as venues for encounters during the festival, which was filled with music, encounters, culture, and volunteer spirit.
Open-air church services were part of the festival's activities, and the sports mile brought over 2,500 active participants to the city. A coordinated security and traffic concept, awareness teams, gender-neutral toilets, and a retreat room at the cathedral were implemented for everyone's comfort.
