Sports Event on September 16th expands speaker lineup
Sportico is hosting a one-day event named RISE: Women's Sports on Tuesday, Sept. 16, at the National Basketball Players Association (NBPA) headquarters in midtown Manhattan. The event is designed to connect leaders from finance, media, marketing, and teams in the sports business industry, with a focus on innovation, investment, and progress in the women's sports marketplace.
The event will feature several panel discussions, including "Where Hoops Meets Hype". This panel will explore Unrivaled Season 2, and will be moderated by Alex Bazzell, co-founder & president of Unrivaled, and Micky Lawler, commissioner of Unrival.
Another panel, "The Business of Representation", will bring together leading agents behind star athletes to discuss navigating complex business, social, and media duties.
In "Leading the Expansion Era" panel, team owners and presidents will share best practices and potential obstacles in managing growth and building a team and fanbase. The participants of this panel discussion are yet to be announced.
A Keynote Conversation with Lauren Leichtman is also part of the event. Leichtman, a co-founder of Levine Leichtman Capital Partners, a private equity firm managing over $11 billion in assets, will focus on value and maximizing opportunity. RISE: Women's Sports will also offer networking opportunities and insights into tools and platforms transforming the women's sports industry. The event is presented in partnership with WNBPA, GalwayPlus, Scoreplay, Genius Sports, Next League, and Sidley Austin LLP.
Additionally, Rhone is the official merchandise partner for Sportico's upcoming conferences, providing premium performance apparel to sports industry leaders.
Lastly, two additional panels have been added to the event: "Agents & Athletes in Conversation", featuring leading sports agents and their clients, but the participants are yet to be announced.
