Spotlight on Inhabitant of EIOH: Dr. Sucharu Ghosh
Dr. Sucharu Ghosh, a distinguished resident of the EIOH Dental Public Health Residency Program, is set to graduate this week. The programme, renowned for its outstanding research opportunities, state-of-the-art technology, and world-class faculty members, has been a significant part of Dr. Ghosh's professional journey.
Originally from a small town in India called Hooghly, Dr. Ghosh chose EIOH for its excellent reputation and the opportunity to work with some of the brightest minds in the field. During his time at EIOH, he formed close relationships with professors, colleagues, and staff who he considers family. His best memories are the moments he spent with his friends.
Dr. Ghosh's hard work and dedication have been recognised with several awards. He received the AAPHD Leverett Graduate Student Merit Award 2022 and the Outstanding Volunteer Award 2022 by American Red Cross. He also passed the National Board of Public Health Examiners' Certified in Public Health Exam and the American Board of Dental Public Health's Written Exam.
Rochester, with its numerous attractions while maintaining a small-city feel, has been a city that Dr. Ghosh has grown to love. The high falls and Letchworth park are among his favourite spots in the city. After his graduation ceremony, he is planning to celebrate with a party.
Upon graduation, Dr. Ghosh will be starting the Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) at the University of the Pacific. He looks forward to continuing his journey in the field of dentistry and making a positive impact on the lives of his patients.
