SSC Launches AADARSH Exam Centers for Secure, Modern, and Transparent Testing Processes
The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has taken a significant step towards enhancing the recruitment process by introducing the AADARSH (Advanced and Dependable Assessment & Resourceful Secured Hub) Pariksha Kendra (APK). The initiative, developed by the SSC itself, aims to provide a secure, standardised, computer-based exam environment across India.
The AADARSH centres, launched in a grand event attended by SSC Chairman Shri S. Gopalakrishnan, along with officials from EdCIL, RailTel, C-DAC, and CBSE, will be equipped with ISO-certified infrastructure, air-conditioned halls, baggage storage areas, secure printing facilities, AI-enabled CCTV cameras with zero blind spots, biometric registration, and on-site technical support.
Approximately 8,000 seats under the APK model will be utilised for upcoming SSC examinations. The centres are designed to ensure exams are fair, seamless, and tamper-proof.
Gopalakrishnan emphasised the focus on ensuring examinations that are fair, transparent, and candidate-friendly. More than 90% of candidates will be allotted an exam centre from their three chosen preferences, with the remaining candidates getting centres located within 200 km of their residence.
To ensure quicker issue resolution, a dedicated grievance hub will be launched from the next exam cycle. Additionally, a new official SSC YouTube channel will share updates and announcements about the AADARSH centres and examinations.
Gopalakrishnan stated that initiatives like the AADARSH Pariksha Kendra are part of SSC's transformation towards 'SSC 2.0', aligning with the vision of Atmanirbhar Bharat, promoting greater self-reliance and accountability in operations. He also mentioned that over 2 crore candidates appear for SSC examinations annually, making it a significant gateway for public employment for India's youth.
Uniform stationery will be provided at all AADARSH centres, and the centres will have a central monitoring room for supervision. The centres will offer a candidate-friendly environment, with secure, standardised, computer-based exams.
With the introduction of the AADARSH centres, the SSC is set to revolutionise the recruitment process, ensuring fair, transparent, and efficient examinations for all candidates.
