Stabbing incidents at Oxford Circus underground station occur within a day's span; police issue photo appeals in search of suspects

In a concerning turn of events, two men were stabbed at Oxford Circus Underground Station in London within a 24-hour period. The incidents, which occurred at 3:40 AM on Saturday and 1:30 AM on Sunday, have sent shockwaves through the city.

During the first incident, a 23-year-old man was found with knife injuries. The British Transport Police are urgently seeking information about the incident and have released a photo of a man they believe could help with their investigation. The identity of this individual is Damien McKenna, whom the police suspect in their investigation of the two mutilation cases at Oxford Circus Underground Station.

Just hours later, at 1:30 AM on Sunday, a 41-year-old man was found with stab wounds. Both men were rushed to the hospital for treatment, but their current condition remains unknown.

Detectives are working at pace to investigate the two connected incidents. British Transport Police believe the two incidents are linked and have urged anyone who was in the area at the time and may have witnessed the incidents or events leading up to, to get in touch and assist with investigations.

Passengers will see an increased police presence at Oxford Circus underground station while officers carry out their enquiries. No arrests have been made in connection with the two assaults.
