Stardew Valley creator, Eric Barone, continues to work diligently, announcing the release of version 1.7.

In a recent announcement at a Stardew Valley Symphony of Seasons live concert, Eric 'ConcernedApe' Barone revealed that a new update, version 1.7, is coming for the beloved farming simulation game. However, no release date or estimate for this update has been provided.

Meanwhile, Barone's attention is also focused on his upcoming game, Haunted Chocolatier. This spooky chocolate shop simulator, set in a haunted castle, is still in development and will not be hindered by the work on Stardew Valley 1.7.

Haunted Chocolatier promises a larger world than Stardew Valley, featuring chocolate-making, shop-simming, archery, boss fights, books, and even fishing. It's shaping up to be a unique and engaging experience for players.

While Barone is busy with Haunted Chocolatier, the Stardew Valley community can take comfort in the fact that if the game is any indication, the new title will likely be well-supported after its release.

Elsewhere in the gaming world, Jody Macgregor, a writer for PC Gamer, has been making waves with her insightful articles. Macgregor, who co-hosted Australia's first radio show about videogames, Zed Games, has written about a variety of topics, including the audio of Alien Isolation, published in 2015, and why Silent Hill belongs on PC.

Macgregor's career in gaming journalism began in 2017 when she edited PC Gamer Indie, and she has since worked at Rock Paper Shotgun, The Big Issue, GamesRadar, Zam, Glixel, Five Out of Ten Magazine, and Playboy.com.

As for the best gaming devices to enjoy these upcoming titles, the Lenovo Legion Go is considered the best for big screen displays, while the MSI Claw 8 AI is the top choice for Windows users. The Steam Deck, on the other hand, is the best budget gaming device.

Despite the excitement surrounding Haunted Chocolatier, Barone has promised to not work on the game until he finishes it, a commitment that fans can look forward to. With a possible release window between 2027 and 2028, players can expect a thrilling and immersive experience in the haunted castle.
