In the dynamic world of startups, November 5 is an exciting date on the horizon. The second STARTUPLAND event is set to take place, promising a gathering of innovative minds and groundbreaking ideas.

Across the globe, the startup scene is thriving, with cities like San Francisco, New York, and Los Angeles leading the way in the USA. The USA, as a whole, is considered the driving force of the global startup scene. However, countries like China, India, and the United Arab Emirates are quickly catching up, according to the Startup Atlas 2025. Germany, while ranking behind the UK and France, is not far behind.

In Europe, Germany is home to several promising startups. One such company is HiveMQ, a Landshut-based firm that recently raised 40 million euros. Despite a significant annual deficit of 25.7 million euros in 2023, HiveMQ's revenue increased to 11.3 million euros in the same year, and the company expects a significant increase in revenue for 2024. The annual report of HiveMQ states that personnel costs should only increase slightly, as the average number of employees will be kept at 196.

Another German startup making waves is Stark, a young DefenseTech company based in Berlin. Stark, which focuses on combat drones (Loitering Munition System), has raised 100 million US dollars since its founding.

Meanwhile, in the healthtech sector, Ortivity has raised 200 million euros in investments. In the PropTech sector, WALLROUND, a Berlin-based startup, raised €4.2 million in a seed round.

The startup ecosystem is also flourishing in other parts of the world. For instance, the British AI startup ElevenLabs is negotiating sales of employee shares at a valuation over $6 billion. The French AI company Mistral is approaching a $10 billion valuation, with investors like ASML. In Germany, the software company n8n has reached a valuation above $2 billion.

The Startup Atlas 2025, conducted by Gisma University of Applied Sciences, also highlights the success of companies like GetYourGuide, a Berlin-based experience provider. GetYourGuide had its best day ever on August 3rd, with 144,000 experiences booked and €4.7 million in revenue.

In the realm of robotics, Munich-based startup Hive Robotics focuses on the safe control of drones and robots. The company has received a financial boost, although the exact amount is not disclosed.

Recent investments also include Vireo Venture, which secured €50 million for investments in energy transition startups. Notable invested startups include Encentive, Atmen, Green Fusion, and About Energy.

As the startup landscape continues to evolve, events like STARTUPLAND provide a platform for these innovative companies to showcase their ideas and connect with potential investors. With the second STARTUPLAND event on the horizon, the startup community eagerly awaits another opportunity to learn, network, and grow.
