The automotive industry is abuzz with the latest offering from Kia – the EV4. This electric vehicle (EV) comes in both hatchback and sedan variants, each offering a unique design and impressive features.

The hatchback version of the EV4 boasts a shorter and optically different appearance, with a modified roof part, a steeply standing rear window, and adapted rear lights. In contrast, the sedan variant features an elongated silhouette and low nose, resembling the 2023 concept car and the EV6. Both versions share a wheelbase of 2.82 meters and a width of 1.86 meters.

The European market will see the production of the hatchback version of the EV4 at Kia's factory in Teplička nad Váhom, near Žilina, Slovakia. This marks a significant milestone for Kia as it marks their first fully electric model produced in Europe.

The EV4 offers ample trunk space. The hatchback version provides a capacity of 435 liters, while the sedan offers slightly more at 490 liters. For those seeking a sportier look, an optional GT-Line design package is available, featuring modified bumpers and high-gloss black exterior mirror caps.

Inside, the EV4 offers a host of connectivity and entertainment functions. Passengers can enjoy applications like YouTube or Netflix, gaming, and even karaoke options. The interior is equipped with a central infotainment display and a digital instrument cluster, each with a 12.3-inch diagonal, and an additional 5.3-inch touchscreen for climate control.

Safety is not compromised in the EV4. It comes equipped with available assistance systems, including a highway assistant with lane change support, adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go function, and a front collision warning system with cross-traffic detection.

The EV4 stands out in the market as a progressive and mass-market electric vehicle, but it uses a 400-V architecture instead of the 800-V technology common in some competitors. Despite this, the EV4 hatchback measures 4.43 meters in length, while the sedan is 4.73 meters, placing it comfortably in the mid-size class.

The Kia EV4 is set to make a significant impact in the electric vehicle market, offering a blend of style, functionality, and innovation for European drivers.
