Station in Harz under siege by lawbreakers
On September 7, 2025, a traffic accident occurred on the B244 from Badersleben towards Vogelsdorf. The incident involved an Audi driven by a 28-year-old man from Dedeleben.
According to the Harz Police Department, after navigating a right curve, the Audi's right rear wheel went onto the shoulder. The driver lost control of his vehicle and veered off the road, through a ditch, and came to a stop at a slope. Unfortunately, the driver's Audi was totaled with damages estimated at around 70,000 €.
Fortunately, a passenger, a 28-year-old man from Pabstorf, was only lightly injured in the accident. He was treated at a hospital.
The Harz Police Department has initiated an investigation against the driver for reckless endangerment. However, the name of the suspect is yet to be disclosed in the search results.
In a separate incident, unknown perpetrators illegally entered a single-family home on Kirchberg Street in Schierke between 4:30 AM and 9:30 PM on September 6, 2025. Electronics, power tools, and cash totaling several thousand euros were stolen from the single-family home. The owners of the house were away during the burglary.
The Harz Police Department is seeking information about the crime and/or suspicious persons in connection with the burglary. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact the Harz Police Department at 03941/674-293 or online via the electronic police station.
