Stolen Garments Offered for Sale - Image Investigation Undertaken

A clothing sale arranged via a social network at the "University Essen" U-Bahn station on March 13 took an unexpected turn when a knife-wielding individual attempted to steal the clothes without paying.

According to the Essen police, the meeting for the sale took place as scheduled, with two interested parties attending. However, one of these parties, who was in possession of a knife, attempted to steal the clothes without making a payment.

The other party, who was also present at the sale, did not participate in the theft. The teenager who was selling the clothes chose not to call the police due to the presence of the knife.

The suspects, who have not been identified yet, fled the scene through the U-Bahn station exit immediately after the incident. The police have released CCTV footage of the suspects involved in the clothing theft, which can be found on this link: CCTV Footage

The police are urging the public to help identify the individuals pictured in the CCTV footage. If you have any information about the suspects, you can contact the Essen police by phone at 0201/829-0 or by email at [email protected].

So far, no arrests have been made in connection with this incident. The police are actively searching for the suspects using the CCTV footage from the U-Bahn station. It is important to note that no other parties were involved in the theft, and the sale of clothing via social networks should be conducted with caution.

The Essen police remind the public that such incidents can be reported to them directly, and they encourage anyone who feels unsafe or threatened to do so immediately. The safety and wellbeing of the community are their top priority.
