Stolen Luxury Bag Recovered Following Arrest in Düsseldorf After Theft from ICE

On Wednesday, September 11, 2024, at 6:10 PM, a 30-year-old individual from Berlin reported the loss of a high-value Louis Vuitton suitcase during a train journey from Hannover to Düsseldorf. The incident took place on an ICE train, not a usual or regular commute for the victim.

The Louis Vuitton suitcase was missing from the luggage rack of the train. The victim, who had been travelling alone, noticed the theft after reaching Düsseldorf Central Station. He immediately reported the incident to the authorities.

The suitcase's location was tracked using an "AirTag," and it was found to have moved towards Konrad-Adenauer-Platz. A 17-year-old Algerian suspect was arrested in the vicinity at around the same time.

The suspect was wearing a pair of pants from the suitcase at the time of his arrest. He was forced to remove his new outfit at the scene. However, the suspect had transferred some of the suitcase's contents into his backpack, making it difficult to identify the exact items stolen.

Despite the arrest, the thief was released the following day due to insufficient evidence. As of now, there is no publicly available information about the Algerian suspect's involvement in the theft incident near Konrad-Adenauer-Platz in Düsseldorf on Monday, September 16, 2024.

The investigation is still ongoing, and the authorities are urging anyone with information regarding the incident or the whereabouts of the stolen Louis Vuitton suitcase to come forward. The public is reminded to keep their belongings secure while travelling and to report any suspicious activities to the authorities immediately.
