Police in the provincial area have accused a resident of Bolton after they received a report about a stolen utility trailer containing construction tools.

In a recent development, a Bolton man has been charged following the recovery of a stolen utility trailer and its contents in Caledon.

The incident began on August 31, when officers from the Caledon OPP received a report about a stolen utility trailer. The trailer, containing various construction equipment, was valued at approximately $10,000.

On Sept. 2, the Caledon OPP executed a search warrant at a residence in Caledon. During the search, they recovered the stolen utility trailer and its contents, worth around $10,000.

The man, aged 47, was charged with several offences in relation to the stolen utility trailer and construction equipment. He was charged with trafficking in property obtained by crime, possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000, and charges related to the stolen utility trailer.

The accused is scheduled to appear before the courts at a later date.

The Caledon OPP is urging the public to report any suspected illegal activity in their neighborhood by calling the Caledon OPP at 1-888-310-1122.

It was also revealed that the stolen construction equipment was later listed for sale on an online classifieds website.

This case serves as a reminder to the public to be vigilant and report any suspicious activities to the authorities. The Caledon OPP continues to investigate the case and encourages anyone with information to come forward.
