The German Weather Service (DWD) predicts a summery start to the week, with sunshine on Tuesday across much of the country. Meteorologist Helge Tuschy from the DWD has stated that temperatures in the west and south of Germany will reach highs of 25 to 29 degrees.

Rastatt, a city on the Rhine River, is expected to experience the highest temperatures at around 25 to 29 degrees Celsius on Tuesday. The Rhine region will enjoy these summery conditions, but Tuschy warns that the weather will become increasingly changeable towards the middle of the week.

On Wednesday, heavy rain can be expected during the changeable weather, with showers or thunderstorms possible. The west and south of Germany will continue to experience high temperatures, while the north will be a bit cloudier with highs between 19 to 24 degrees.

In the far north of Germany, highs on Wednesday will be up to 22 to 25 degrees. Elsewhere in the country, highs will remain between 25 to 29 degrees. Stormy weather is expected to move in from the southwest and south on Wednesday night, bringing a change to the pleasant conditions.

Temperatures will cool down significantly in the nights, with some areas dropping to 11 degrees. The cloud cover in the north will clear up in the afternoon, providing a brief respite from the rain.

Thursday will see a continuation of the changeable weather, with highs not exceeding 27 degrees in any part of Germany. The Rhine region will experience low temperatures ranging from 16 degrees on Wednesday night.

Detailed forecasts for specific regions are still not available, but Tuschy advises keeping an eye on the weather updates as the week progresses. The general advice is to prepare for a mix of sunshine and rain, with the possibility of thunderstorms, especially on Wednesday and Thursday.

In conclusion, while the start of the week in Germany will be summery, the weather is expected to become increasingly changeable as the week progresses, with heavy rain and thunderstorms possible in many parts of the country. Stay tuned for more updates from the DWD.
