Stranger unwittingly picks up escapee from hospital in their vehicle.
The Warendorf Police are currently searching for a 30-year-old man who fled from Ahlen hospital on August 1, 2025, at around 10:05 AM. The man was reported to have exited a vehicle after being refused and was later observed running in front of cars on Walstedder Straße.
According to Polizei Warendorf, the man resisted and struck a police officer, causing minor injuries. However, officers managed to subdue him and prevent him from fleeing further.
Unfortunately, there is no available information regarding the driver of the vehicle into which the man got after fleeing from Ahlen hospital. The man initially attempted to enter a patrol car but changed his mind and entered a stranger's vehicle instead. However, he was refused by the driver.

The man was in critical condition and was being searched for by the Warendorf Police. After being subdued, he was returned to the hospital by emergency services.
