Strike carried out by Russia in Kyiv wounds 20 individuals, potentially trapping others under debris
In the aftermath of the large-scale Russian attack on Kyiv on the night of 6-7 September, the city is grappling with the consequences. At least 20 people have been injured, with seven of them hospitalized.
Among the injured is a pregnant woman, adding a heart-rending dimension to the already dire situation. Tragically, the death of a young woman and her two-month-old son has been confirmed.
The organization responsible for this devastating attack was the Russian military. Initially, the death toll was reported to be three, but later, Tkachenko stated that the initial report was not accurate.
Search and rescue operations are currently underway at a heavily damaged residential building in the Sviatoshynskyi district. Despite the ongoing efforts, there are still concerns about people potentially trapped under the rubble.
On the brighter side, others who were injured received medical assistance at the scene. The resilience of the Kyiv community continues to shine through, as they rally together to support each other in these challenging times.
Our thoughts are with those affected by this tragic event, and we hope for a swift resolution to the ongoing search and rescue operations.
