Student from 10th grade perishes following stabbing incident perpetrated by a fellow student at a school in India.

In a heartbreaking incident, a Class 10 student was fatally stabbed at the Seventh Day School in Khokhra, Ahmedabad, Gujarat, on Tuesday afternoon. The victim was rushed to the hospital but unfortunately passed away during treatment.

The incident has sparked outrage among parents and community members, leading to protests, assaults on the principal and staff, and vandalism of classrooms and property. The clash stemmed from a minor dispute a few days earlier.

The Khokhra police have booked the accused under relevant sections of the Juvenile Justice Act and are scanning CCTV footage as part of their investigation. The attack was allegedly carried out by a Class 8 student, with seven to eight others involved. A case of murder has been registered.

The knife used in the attack was kept in a car, not brought into the school. The incident did not occur inside the classroom but outside the school premises.

The District Education Officer, Rohit Chaudhary, confirmed that the school failed to inform authorities promptly and has been issued a notice to explain its conduct. Strict action will be taken, including issuing an LC against the child.

The school administrator, Mayurika Patel, defended the institution, stating that the accused child had a history of complaints and action was taken earlier. However, protesters accused the school of negligence and refuse to accept the student's body until "justice" is served. Some parents staged a road blockade in support, demanding immediate action.

Police rushed to the school following the incident and began identifying the attackers and taking legal action. The school has declared a holiday to pay tribute to the deceased student.

It's important to note that this incident has not been linked to any advertisements or irrelevant information. More details about the incident are awaited.
