Successful heist in two apartments by an imposter
In a series of unsettling incidents, tricksters have been targeting residents in various parts of the city. The latest reports involve a duo who visited an apartment on Hammerschmidtstraße on the morning of August 25, 2025.
According to the senior resident, the female trickster was approximately 20 to 22 years old, standing between 1.65 meters and 1.70 meters tall, and had an Eastern European accent. She was dressed in a black skirt, similar to the woman from Wilfriedstraße, but was noticeably slimmer. The male suspect, on the other hand, was approximately 1.80 meters tall, with short brown hair and a short brown beard. He wore a brown hoodie with an embroidered symbol, grey-brown jeans, and sneakers.
Upon arrival, the duo claimed they needed water and the use of the toilet. However, their true intentions were soon revealed when the male suspect took several pieces of jewelry before the duo fled towards Südring.
The woman from Wilfriedstraße, who visited around 14:00 on an undisclosed date, had a different appearance. She was also approximately 20 to 22 years old, but was overweight and had blonde hair. She carried a large bouquet of flowers and asked an elderly man if she could write a letter in his house. While the man was writing, she placed the large bouquet on the kitchen table and asked for the toilet. After a while, she returned and seemed very rushed.
In a separate incident on Dresdener Straße, around 18:00, a man and a woman visited a multi-family apartment building, claiming to be moving into a similar apartment. However, they did not provide a valid reason for their visit, raising suspicions among the residents.
The police have urged residents to remain vigilant and have provided a contact number for reporting any information about the tricksters. They have also provided contact information for press inquiries.
It is important to note that the tricksters' suspicious activities occurred on different dates and locations, making it difficult to establish a pattern. However, residents are encouraged to be cautious and to verify the identities and intentions of visitors before allowing them access to their homes.
In a separate incident in Bielefeld, a woman asked two strangers to leave her property. The police are investigating this case as well.
