The World Series of Poker Circuit (WSOP-C) is making a comeback to Deerfoot Inn & Casino in Calgary, Alberta, for its first-ever October series, starting on October 1, 2025. This marks a shift from the previous May dates, as the WSOP-C has decided to move to a fall tilt for WSOP Rings going forward [1].

Poker enthusiasts can look forward to a variety of tournaments, including a Main Event and other high-stakes competitions, during this 13-day event. For the most detailed and up-to-date schedule, it is advisable to check the official WSOP website or the Deerfoot Inn & Casino's announcements closer to the event dates.

One of the highlights of the series was the $280 NLH Bounty event, which saw Kevin Kemna emerge victorious. Kemna walked away with just under $5,000, including bounties, for his win [2]. Meanwhile, Ryan Cairns finished as the runner-up, earning $3,712 plus his bounty haul [3].

The final table of the $280 NLH Bounty event included Shariq "Sharqy" Khan, Zhigang (George) Yang, Romualdo Cusano, and others [4]. The tournament drew 329 total entries, building a $421,943 prize pool [5].

In a dramatic turn of events, the Main Event was won by Chase Bonertz. Bonertz's winning hand was ace-four against Dave's kings, giving Bonertz a career-best payday of $1,500 and the coveted Main Event title [6]. Dave took home $61,182 for finishing in second place [7].

This WSOP-C series in Calgary will be the first since the 2025 Summer Super Stack Main Event [8]. Poker.pro will be the exclusive live reporting source for this event, providing comprehensive coverage of the series [9]. This will be the first WSOP-C series covered by poker.pro in Calgary since the August series in 2024 [10].

The WSOP-C has a history of holding events in Calgary, with series in January and May, with an exception in 2024 when an August series was also added [11]. This October series will be the first WSOP-C series held in Calgary since the 2025 Summer Super Stack Main Event.
