Surveillance footage reveals activities in parking zone

The city of Detmold has announced that the parking lot Werrebogen, located on Hornschen Street, will be closed for cars and campers on Friday, May 9th, from 2 pm, and on Saturday, May 10th, the entire day. This closure is due to the performance competitions of the Lippish fire departments.

Visitors and guests of the city are advised to use nearby parking lots such as the Parkplatz Bezirksregierung on Hornschen Street during this period. Camper travelers are asked to leave the parking lot Werrebogen by Friday, 8 am.

The Lippische fire departments participating in these competitions are local volunteer fire brigades from the Lippe region in Germany. These events aim to strengthen firefighting skills, foster teamwork, motivate volunteer engagement, and support community safety through practical exercises and competitions. Some of the participating brigades include those from Blomberg and its districts like Eschenbruch and Donop.

For inquiries regarding the parking lot closure, contact Daniela Lang at 05231 977 201 or via email at [email protected]. The press release regarding the parking lot closure is issued by the city portal.

The closure will be lifted on Saturday evening around 7 pm, and normal operations at the Werrebogen parking lot are expected to resume thereafter. The city appreciates your understanding and cooperation during this time.
