Surveillance Locations for Mobile Speed Enforcement
Bergisch Gladbach, Germany, is stepping up its speed monitoring measures to ensure traffic safety and promote responsible driving behaviour. The city has announced that it will be publishing the locations of these measures on a weekly basis, in line with the new regulations and administrative guidelines.
Starting from Friday, 29th August 2025, speed monitoring will commence in various parts of the city. The designated locations for this week include Kippekausen, Ommerbornstraße, and Asselborner Weg. Mobile speed checks will also be carried out on Lückerather Weg and Schützheider Weg on Saturday, 30th August 2025.
Next week, the city has planned mobile speed checks for Monday, 1st September 2025, at Paffrather Straße, Dolmanstraße, and Hornstraße. On Tuesday, 2nd September 2025, the measuring points are Reuterstraße, Lerbacher Weg, and Jägerstraße. The city's official website, rbk-direkt.de, serves as a suitable medium for publishing these details. The link to find the district's control locations can be found here.
The new regulations require the announcement and publication of communal measuring points, but not the exact measurement times. This emphasis on transparency is a key aspect of the new guidelines, which aim to bring about positive behavioural changes.
On Thursday, 4th September 2025, the measuring points are Kempener Straße, Taubenstraße, and Klutstein. Mobile speed checks are planned for Friday, 5th September 2025, at Am Rübezahlwald, Büschemer Straße, and Bruderstraße. However, there is no available information regarding which location in Bergisch Gladbach will be affected by speed monitoring on Friday, 5th September 2025.
It's worth noting that the Ministry of the Interior and Local Government NRW changed administrative guidelines for § 48 Abs. 2 of the Ordnungsbehördengesetz (OBG) on 15th July 2013. The police authority carries out its own checks, and further information on this can be found on the police's website.
Special importance is attached to the announcement of controls and the publication of measuring points, as highlighted by the new guidelines. The city of Bergisch Gladbach publishes the planned measurement points of the speed monitoring carried out by the municipality on a weekly basis on its official website.
On Saturday, 6th September 2025, the measuring points include Duckterather Weg and Voiswinkeler Straße. The city continues to prioritise speed monitoring measures for traffic safety, according to available resources, as stated in Administrative Guideline No. 48.26.
Residents are encouraged to drive responsibly and be aware of the speed monitoring measures taking place in their area. For the most up-to-date information, residents are advised to visit the city's official website or the police's website.
