Suspect Apprehended Following Unauthorized Entry into a Workshop
A break-in at a workshop in Quadrath-Ichendorf, Rhein-Erft District, occurred on Saturday, 26th July. The incident was first reported by news aktuell from the Rhein-Erft District Police.
According to the police, the break-in took place around 23:40, with an attentive witness reporting a loud banging noise near the workshop on Frenser Street. Around 1:00 AM, the witness saw flashlights in the workshop and immediately alerted the authorities.
The officers arrived at the scene and found traces of the intrusion, including a smashed window of the business. While investigating the outer area, they temporarily arrested two suspects who matched the witness's description.
The arrested men are suspected of particularly serious theft from the workshop. Two cars were seen driving away from the area around the same time, one of which returned shortly after. Three occupants got out of the returned car near the station, and two people disappeared towards a discount store.
