On August 22, 2025, a 31-year-old man from Cameroon was reported for a physical assault at Magdeburg Central Station. The incident occurred at 14:15, and the suspect was located in the main hall of the station.

The suspect was subsequently taken into custody by the federal police, but he continued to resist during transport and at the federal police premises. He jumped, kicked, and punched the cell door, and repeatedly tried to poke the officers with his fingers. The suspect also urinated in the cell and repeatedly insulted the officers in French.

The man faces charges including bodily harm, resisting law enforcement, and insulting an officer. After completing police measures, he was handed over to the state police for further proceedings.

The Federal Police Inspectorate Magdeburg, responsible for the incident, can be contacted for further inquiries. They can be reached via email at [email protected] or by phone at +49 (0) 391-56549-505. The inspectorate also has a Twitter handle, @bpol_pir, and a website, www.bundespolizei.de.

It is important to note that the head of the Bundespolizeiinspektion Magdeburg responsible for information regarding the incident on August 22, 2025, at Magdeburg station was not named in the search results.

The assault reportedly occurred in a nearby shopping center, but further details about the incident are still under investigation by the state police. The Federal Police Inspectorate Magdeburg has not released any statements regarding the motive behind the assault.

The suspect showed extreme aggression towards federal police officers, gesticulating wildly and refusing to comply with their instructions. During transport to the federal police station, the suspect dropped to the ground, tried to kick and punch, and attempted to grab the officers' legs.

The Federal Police Inspectorate Magdeburg urges anyone with information about the incident to come forward and contact the authorities. They remind the public that physical assaults against law enforcement officers will not be tolerated and will be thoroughly investigated.
