Suspected Attempted Homicide by Spouse: Polish Authorities Investigate Alleged Husband-Wife Fiscide
In the quiet neighbourhood of Lübeck-Kücknitz, an unfortunate incident unfolded on August 25, 2025. At around 10:45 AM, a 63-year-old woman was shot in her shared apartment at the Westpreußenring.
The Lübeck Police Directorate confirmed the incident, stating that the suspected weapon was seized by the police at the scene. The injured woman was immediately taken to a hospital with a life-threatening gunshot wound.
The suspect in this case is a 64-year-old German man, who is said to have shot his wife. He was arrested by the Lübeck police the following day, August 26, 2025, and is currently in custody following a court order for pretrial detention.
The District Court of Lübeck granted the application for detention, and the Public Prosecutor's Office in Lübeck applied for an arrest warrant against the suspect on suspicion of attempted murder.
