Suspected politically instigated fire incident

In Berlin, a fire that broke out overnight on Monday, 9th September, 2025, has raised concerns and disrupted the city's power supply. The incident involved two high-voltage pylons that caught fire, as shown in a video broadcasted on our website FERNSEHEN at 16:14.

The duration of the video is 00:49 minutes.

The fire has led to a large-scale power outage, but thankfully, no injuries or fatalities have been reported. The investigation into the incident is ongoing, and no further details about the cause of the fire have been released as of yet.

The suspected motive behind the arson attack is politically motivated, with left-wing extremism being a primary suspicion. A claim of responsibility has been linked to a leftist group targeting the technology park Adlershof. However, Russian state-controlled sabotage is also being considered as a possible motive by security experts.

The rights to the video belong to MIDDLE GERMAN BROADCASTING. For those who missed the broadcast, the video is still available on our website FERNSEHEN.

As the investigation continues, we will keep you updated on any new developments regarding this incident. Stay tuned for more updates.
