Suspects Accused of Arson Make Escape Following Vehicle Blaze in Worringen

In the early hours of Sunday morning, a BMW (5 series) was set ablaze on the Park & Ride parking lot on Berrischstraße in Cologne-Roggendorf. The incident, which occurred on Saturday night (3rd August), has left the vehicle completely destroyed, with the estimated material damage being several thousand euros.

According to reports, the suspicious noises were followed by the sighting of the burning vehicle. Neighbours alerted the police around 1 am. The two men suspected of setting fire to the BMW are currently unknown and being sought by the criminal police.

The description of the suspects is as follows: one man was wearing a dark training jacket, dark training pants with white stripes, a cap, and a fanny pack. The other man was dressed in dark clothing and wore a hoodie. Both men are estimated to be around 1.70 m to 1.80 m tall.

The two men ran away from the direction of the BMW and fled towards the S-Bahnhof Worringen in the direction of Sinnersdorfer Straße. Investigations into the background of the BMW arson incident are ongoing.
