Polestar and Audi Unveil Winter-Ready Concept Vehicles for the F.A.T. Ice Race

Prepare for an exciting winter event in February 2025, as the F.A.T. Ice Race at Austria's Zell am See will see the introduction of two unique concept vehicles from Polestar and Audi.

Polestar has expanded its Arctic Circle collection, unveiling the Polestar 2 Arctic Circle, Polestar 3, and Polestar 4. These vehicles have been optimised for harsh winter conditions in Sweden, inspired by winter rally cars. The Polestar 2 Arctic Circle, in particular, is a one-of-a-kind concept that showcases Polestar's commitment to creating vehicles that can handle the most challenging winter terrains.

The Polestar 2 Arctic Circle, Polestar 3 midsize SUV, and Polestar 4 compact crossover all feature three-way adjustable Öhlins dampers for superior handling and control. They are also equipped with Pirelli studded tires, Stedi driving lights, and OZ Racing wheels for enhanced performance on snow and ice. Additionally, accessories such as roof racks, snow shovels, skid plates, and snow ladders have been added to the vehicles in the Arctic Circle collection.

Recaro bucket seats provide comfort and support during high-speed winter driving, while the vehicles are outfitted with Stedi driving lights for improved visibility in low-light conditions. The Arctic Circle collection vehicles were developed in collaboration with companies that offer or plan to offer parts for Polestar cars, ensuring a seamless integration of performance-enhancing components.

Joakim Rydholm, Polestar's head of driving dynamics, played a significant role in the development of the Polestar Arctic Collection. With multiple Swedish rally podium finishes under his belt, Rydholm brings a wealth of experience to the project, ensuring that the vehicles are ready to take on the most demanding winter conditions.

Meanwhile, Audi plans to introduce a rugged Q6 E-Tron concept at the same event, featuring portal axles for increased ground clearance and off-road capabilities. This concept is sure to turn heads and set a new standard for electric vehicles in harsh winter conditions.

The expanded Polestar Arctic Circle collection and Audi's Q6 E-Tron concept will be formally introduced during the 2025 F.A.T. Ice Race at Austria's Zell am See. This is an event not to be missed for anyone interested in the latest developments in electric vehicle technology and winter performance. Stay tuned for more updates as we get closer to the big day!
