In 2019, UK synthpop collective Magnetic Skies was founded by Simon Kent and Jo Womar. With influences from 1980s synthpop and post-punk, they started as a studio-based project. Fast forward to 2025, and Magnetic Skies has made a significant impact on the music scene, with their latest single "Back To Life" now available on all major streaming platforms.

The new single is a blend of nostalgic synth textures and modern darkwave elements, thematically exploring the tension between our deep, universal connection and the fragmentation in the modern world. According to vocalist Simon Kent, the song's theme is about sensing chaos, feeling the void, and holding on to hope.

Magnetic Skies has announced a UK tour for November 2025, with shows confirmed in four cities: Birmingham, London, Southampton, and Glasgow. The tour includes performances at The Victoria, Birmingham on 5th November, Heartbreakers, Southampton on 12th November, The Grace, London on 6th November, and The Hug & Pint, Glasgow on 19th November.

The tour dates span from 5th to 19th November 2025. However, the details regarding which orchestra will perform with Magnetic Skies during these shows have not been disclosed yet.

"Back To Life" follows the band's 2023 debut album "Empire Falling" and the Spring single "A Place on Earth," which also saw the release of its accompanying video in 2025. Most production for "Empire Falling" was handled in-house by Kent, with additional mixing by Rob Aubrey.

Fans of Magnetic Skies are eagerly awaiting this tour, as it marks a return to the live music scene after the release of their latest single. With their unique blend of synthpop and post-punk, Magnetic Skies promises an electrifying performance that will leave audiences yearning for more.

So, get ready to experience the captivating sound of Magnetic Skies as they take the stage across the UK in November 2025. Don't miss out on this incredible opportunity to witness this talented collective in action!
