TAG Heuer and Porsche Honor the Monte Carlo Rally with Their Recent Collaboration
TAG Heuer and Porsche have once again joined forces to create a stunning new collection of timepieces, the Carrera Chronosprint x Porsche Rallye watches. These limited-edition watches are inspired by the historic Monte Carlo Rally and are designed to pay homage to the rich racing heritage shared by both brands.
A Fresh Look for a Timeless Design
The dial layout of the Carrera Chronosprint x Porsche Rallye watches remains the same, but the silver-toned steel color has been swapped for a glossy black one, giving the watches a sleek and modern look. The new versions of the watch are available in stainless steel and 18k yellow gold cases, ensuring there's a model to suit every style.
In-House Movement and Innovative Design
Under the hood, the watches feature the in-house TH20-08 automatic chronograph caliber. This movement modulates the regular TH20 movement by integrating a pair of snail-shaped wheels that handle the decelerating seconds hand. The movement's rotor has been designed to emulate the three-spoke steering wheel of Porsche automobiles, adding a touch of automotive flair.
A Tribute to Racing History
The new versions of the Carrera Chronosprint x Porsche Rallye watches are packed with details that pay tribute to the Monte Carlo Rally's racing history. The flange on the watch features a red marking to denote the 9.1-second acceleration of the 1963 Porsche 901, but this new version drops the shading down to 8.4 seconds, which is the time it took the 1965 Porsche 911 to accelerate to 100km/h during the Monte Carlo Rally.
A similar highlight is given to the right side hour subdial between 6.8 and 12, emphasizing the 6,800 RPM limit at the time. The running seconds subdial on the watch highlights from 50 to 55, paying homage to the 50km/h speed limit on Porsche dashboards during the '70s.
Limited Edition Timepieces
The new versions of the Carrera Chronosprint x Porsche Rallye watches are limited in edition size. There will be 911 pieces of the steel version and just 11 of the gold version, making these timepieces true collector's items.
Pricing and Availability
The TAG Heuer Carrera Chronosprint x Porsche Rallye watches will be priced at $10,250 for the steel version and $24,600 for the gold version. They are available for purchase on TAG Heuer's website. The watches come with either a three-link bracelet or a perforated calfskin leather strap, available in black for the steel version and brown for the gold version.

TAG Heuer and Porsche officially joined forces in 2021, and the Carrera Chronosprint x Porsche Rallye watches are the latest result of this exciting partnership. The watches showcase the in-house TH20-08 automatic chronograph caliber through the exhibition caseback, ensuring that the inner workings of these impressive timepieces are always on display. The 2023 version of the TAG Heuer x Porsche Carrera Chronosprint also features a seconds hand that mimics the acceleration of classic automobile rev counters, adding a touch of racing excitement to every minute.
