Apple is developing a new operating system, codenamed "Charismatic", which is expected to revolutionise the way users interact with their smart home devices. According to reports, this new OS will be at the heart of Apple's Smart Home Hub and Tabletop Robot, set to launch in 2026 and 2027 respectively.

The primary focus of "Charismatic" is digital clocks and widgets, making it an ideal choice for home automation. The platform supports multiple users, allowing for seamless collaboration within households.

Interaction with "Charismatic" will primarily be through Siri voice commands, making it easy for users to control their smart home devices hands-free. In addition, touchscreen control will also be an option, providing a more traditional method of interaction.

While the exact features and capabilities of "Charismatic" are not yet known, it is believed to be the long-rumored "homeOS". Apple has been tight-lipped about the details, but more information is expected to be revealed in the coming months.

The "Charismatic" operating system is part of Apple's homeOS project for smart home devices, combining elements of tvOS and watchOS. As mentioned in Mark Gurman’s latest "Power On" newsletter, this new OS is set to redefine the way we interact with our smart homes.

Stay tuned for more updates on Apple's "Charismatic" operating system as they become available.
