René Adler Makes Guest Appearance in Wife Lilli Hollunder's Series "Notruf Hafenkante"
René Adler, the husband of actress Lilli Hollunder, will make a special appearance in her popular ZDF series "Notruf Hafenkante." Adler, who has some TV experience but is making his first foray into a series or film, will play himself in a guest role.
Hollunder, who plays police chief inspector Isabell "Isa" Nowak in the series, expressed being a bit nervous and proud about her husband's appearance. Adler, on the other hand, initially thought the offer to play himself was a joke, but it was a serious offer.
Despite receiving tips from his wife, Adler practiced his part alone. The house they are currently renovating is not specified. Hollunder has been playing the role of police chief inspector Isabell "Isa" Nowak since 2024.
Adler and Hollunder have been married since 2016 and have two children: Casper, born in 2020, and Billie, born in 2022. Hollunder recently took a break to recharge her batteries in Rome with her mother and sisters.
In an interview with the "Bild" newspaper, Adler confirmed his appearance in the series. The police series "Notruf Hafenkante" returns with new episodes on October 9, every Thursday at 7:25 PM on ZDF.
Hollunder also provided insight into their family life, stating that no day is predictable and they often rely on a nanny. Adler's role in the series is not specified, but it is clear that his appearance in the series is special because his wife is a regular cast member.
