Temporary Restriction of Hazardous Materials: The Federal Police Directorate in Munich imposes a ban on risky substances at eight regional train stations and two S-Bahn stations within Munich

The Bundes Police has issued an ordinance that will come into effect from December 31, 2024, to January 1, 2025, affecting several train stations and S-Bahn stops in Munich, Nuremberg, Augsburg, Regensburg, Würzburg, and Aschaffenburg.

The ordinance applies to all building parts of the main stations, including pedestrian tunnels, associated platforms, and all publicly accessible levels. This measure is aimed at ensuring safety and preventing acts of violence, protecting passengers and police officers.

Carrying dangerous objects, such as tools, firearms, imitation firearms, bladed weapons, and knives of all kinds, is prohibited during this period. Notices regarding the ban will be posted at the relevant locations.

Violations may result in the seizure of objects and the imposition of a penalty fee under the Weapons Act. Further consequences may include a ban from the premises or a station ban.

Federal Police officers will monitor compliance with the ban. The detailed regulations and exceptions to the ban are available in the attached ordinances.
