Tennis County Championships Celebrate Four Decades with a Grand Family Gathering
40th County Tennis Championships and Other Sports Events in Regensburg
The Regensburg region is gearing up for a series of exciting sports events in the coming months. This year marks the 40th anniversary of the County Tennis Championships, which will take place from September 11th to 21st, 2025.
Registration for various age groups, including U9 to U18, doubles, and adults, can be done at www.lkm-tennis-regensburg.de and www.mybigpoint.tennis.de, respectively. The deadline for registration for the singles competitions is September 8th, 2025, and for the doubles tournaments, it is September 17th, 2025.
The singles events will take place from September 11th to 14th, and the doubles championship will follow a week later. The small field tennis matches will be held on September 13th, 2025. The celebration of the 40th anniversary will be held on September 14th, during the singles competition, with a large family festival at the Neutraubling courts.
Besides tennis, other sports events are also scheduled. The Air Rifle and Air Pistol Shooting events will take place from September 23rd to October 26th, 2025, in the Multi-purpose Hall Zeitlarn. The organizer of these events is the Section "Am Wenzenbach".
The Cyclo-Cross event, organized by Wörth 1837, will occur on October 19th, 2025, in Wörth a.d.Donau. The Alpine Skiing and Snowboarding events, organized by the Ski Club Neutraubling and Schierling, will take place on February 7th, 2026, in Englmar.
It's important to note that the Air Rifle and Air Pistol Shooting, Cyclo-Cross, and Alpine Skiing and Snowboarding events have separate organizers and locations, and registration and further information would need to be obtained from separate sources.
The County Councilor Tanja Schweiger serves as the patron of the county championships, and the event is organized by Harald Bauer, Tobias Koch, Andrea Reinisch, and Eva Seyfferth. The county championships aim to provide a platform for players of all age groups and promote the idea of broad-based sports.
