Sheridan Tennis Teams Secure Victories Against Natrona County
In a thrilling display of tennis, the Sheridan Boys and Girls Tennis teams emerged victorious against Natrona County. The Boys team clinched a 4-1 win, while the Girls team won 4-1 as well.
In the Boys Singles, Ben Bujans claimed victory over Greyson Ingram from Natrona County with a score of 6-2, 6-1. Ella Bilyeu, on the Girls side, also secured a win in the #1 Singles match against Elleanor Keller with a similar score of 6-2, 6-1.
The #1 Doubles matches saw some intense competition. On the Boys side, Matt Brown and Eric Venn triumphed over Thomas Gorman and Nathan Danford, while Avery Ligocki and Abby Venn emerged victorious on the Girls side against unnamed opponents from Kelly Walsh.
Harper Joy and Larrisa Hoffman, along with Gracee Hogan, also contributed to the Girls team's victory with wins in the #2 Doubles and #2 Singles matches, respectively.
The Boys #2 Doubles was a closely contested match, with Aaron Lansing and Lawson Woodrow securing a win against Jeremiah Martin and Henry Elston. Drew Miller also claimed a victory in the #2 Singles match against Josh Reyes.
However, the Kelly Walsh team managed to secure a win in the #3 Doubles match against Mallorie Akers and Lizzie Lansing, giving them a 3-2 victory in the Girls match.
The unnamed opponents from Kelly Walsh also managed to secure a win in the #2 Doubles match against Larrisa Hoffman and Gracee Hogen, but the overall momentum was with the Sheridan teams.
The next scheduled matches for the Sheridan Boys and Girls Tennis teams will take place at home in Sheridan. The Boys will play against Cody on Friday, August 29th, and against Powell on Saturday, August 30th. The match against Powell, scheduled for 12 noon on Saturday, promises to be an exciting one.
