Tennis's local county championships commemorate their 40th anniversary by hosting a grand family gathering
The Regensburg County Championships are set to celebrate their 40th anniversary in September 2025, with a series of exciting events scheduled across various sports. Here's a rundown of what you can expect.
The county tennis championships will take place from September 11 to 21. Registration for age groups U9 to U18, as well as for doubles, can be done at www.lkm-tennis-regensburg.de. Mini-tennis matches will be held on September 13, 2025. The 40th anniversary will be celebrated during the singles competitions on September 14 at 2 p.m. with a family festival at the Neutraubling courts.
The Air Rifle and Pistol Shooting competitions will take place from September 23 to October 26, 2025, in the multi-purpose hall Zeitlarn, organized by the Section "Am Wenzenbach".
The deadline for registration for the singles competitions is September 8, 2025, and for the doubles tournaments, it is September 17, 2025. Late registration is not possible according to BTV regulations.
County Councilor Tanja Schweiger has taken on the patronage of the county championships. Harald Bauer, Tobias Koch, Andrea Reinisch, and Eva Seyfferth will handle the main organization and tournament management.
Away from tennis, the Cyclo-Cross event will occur on October 19, 2025, in Wörth a.d.Donau, organized by Wörth 1837.
Looking ahead to 2026, Alpine Skiing and Snowboarding competitions are scheduled for February 7. These events will take place in Englmar, organized by the Ski Club Neutraubling and Schierling. The International Ski Federation (FIS) will be the organizer, as the official events like the Audi FIS Ski World Cup races take place under their authority, with specific races scheduled at locations such as Crans-Montana, Switzerland.
