Tequila Company Owned by a Celebrity Aids Smaller Enterprises via Grant Scheme
Wisconsin is set to support existing businesses and create new ones with a funding of $1.9 million from the U.S. Department of the Treasury. This funding will be utilised through an on-demand LLC formation tool to aid 1,150 existing businesses and help establish 120 new small businesses in the state.
In a separate development, the fourth round of Antioch's Small Business Grants program is scheduled to begin on December 1, 2023. Businesses interested in applying can find more information and application materials on Antioch's Office of Economic Development. The deadline for applications is February 29, 2024.
Grants will be awarded to businesses in Antioch, California, particularly those located in high-crime areas. The grants, expected to range from $5,000 to $25,000, can be used to improve safety and security or update storefronts to increase curb appeal. Exact dates for the application period have not been publicly specified yet.
Thomaston, Maine, has introduced the Small Business Micro-Grant Program to support small businesses. Eligible businesses can apply for grants of up to $3,000 for various purposes, such as physical improvements, tech upgrades, new marketing campaigns, and more. Recipients are required to provide at least ten percent of the total project cost, and applications are accepted on a rolling basis.
Canton, New York, is currently accepting applications for the Canton CARES Small Business Grant Program. This program is open to microenterprises and small businesses with less than 25 employees who faced hardships due to the pandemic. The deadline to apply is December 20.
Feed the Soul Foundation, in partnership with the Grubhub Community Fund and Stella Artois, is planning to award 30 grants of $25,000 to marginalized culinary business owners in 2023. The grant program includes an educational component, and recipients were recently announced. Applications for the 2024 grant program will open again.
Lastly, Gran Coramino® Tequila, founded by Kevin Hart and Juan Domingo Beckmann, is launching a new round of applications for The Coramino Fund. This giveback program provides $10,000 grants and educational resources to Black and Latinx entrepreneurs in the U.S. and Mexico, in partnership with Local Initiatives Support Corporation (LISC). Applications are available until December 5, 2023. The Coramino Fund will also launch a new round of educational programming in Jalisco, Mexico, in early 2024.
Applicants for most of these programs must demonstrate how they'll use funds to prepare for, prevent, or respond to the effects of the pandemic. It's an exciting time for small businesses across the United States as these initiatives aim to support and uplift them.
