Tesla withdraws Model Y Launch Edition sales in Europe, unveils standard line-up instead

The electric vehicle giant, Tesla, has recently updated its Model Y lineup in Europe, introducing new prices, configurations, and availability for the Rear-Wheel Drive (RWD), Long Range RWD, and Long Range All-Wheel Drive (LR AWD) variants.

Production of the improved Model Ys has commenced, but the official start date for the first deliveries remains undisclosed. According to Tesla's online configurator, the first deliveries are expected to take place in May or June.

The updated Model Ys in Europe are now available in Pearl White, Solid Black, Stealth Grey, Quicksilver, and Ultra Red. However, the Midnight Cherry Red variant is not part of the updated lineup.

The Long Range AWD variant has seen a price drop of €2,000, making the Dual-Motor version more accessible to customers. On the other hand, the Long Range RWD variant has increased in price by €1,000.

The prices for the updated Model Y lineup in Germany are as follows: RWD - €44,990, Long Range RWD - €49,990, Long Range AWD - €52,990.

The discontinuation of the Model Y Launch Series in Europe marks the end of a limited-edition variant that included Full Self-Driving (FSD) and the Acceleration Boost, as well as accessories and trim pieces exclusive to the series. The Launch Series Model Y made its debut in Europe a few weeks ago, priced at €60,990.

It's important to note that the Design Studio in North America only offers the Launch Series and the legacy Model Y in all trims. Customers could add any option at no extra cost in the Launch Series Model Y.

Tesla has not yet provided any information regarding the availability of the Midnight Cherry Red variant in the future. Stay tuned for more updates on this exciting electric vehicle lineup.
